Here something to be clarify that the power In/Out voltage.
Your game console input voltage is Vin = x Vdc ?
The original power converter is 100v, 47w, 50/60hz, Vout (dc) = ?
Your input voltages of new power converter is AC 220v, 50w MAX, 50hz, Vout (dc) = ?

Edit :
Do you mean that the power converter is the Adapter?

here's an image of the power input/output of the game console and power converter:

local power grid is "220 volts AC, 50Hz"

The PlayStation is labelled NTSC which is the old American TV system. It might not work with a European TV or a modern 4k digital TV.

So your game console there is no switch to switching between AC110V/220V ?
How old is that game console ?
nope it doesn't have a switch on the back, it was not meant to be used in my region because it was imported from japan back in the early 2000s.

thanks for the reminder! this problem actually happened back then when i tried to use the playstation 2 on my uncle's old tv which didn't support ntsc, only pal. anyways i remember getting no video output and my uncle was furious because he bought it for me as a present, and he thought he got duped with a broken game console, so he took it back to the game store and i remember seeing him yelled at the guy for scamming him and demanded a refund. yikes....then the guy came out of the shop and took us to another floor of the mall where there is another shop that sells a little TV signal switcher box and it fixed everything. LOL. anways from that day on i always bought sony branded TVs, cause they have ntsc and pal built-in.

It's a NTSC -J standard for the Japan market, if you have a Dual standard TV (Pal Ntsc) then it should play ok, otherwise you need a converter.
