I remember one time when we had guests over and my wife was going to make a souffle for dessert. The element decided to burn out. We told them how good it would have been because my wife did a practice run before that.

I cook our turkey in our charcoal Weber. It frees up the oven for other dishes and is one less thing my Wife has to do.

I'm assuming that the default temperature is 350°F, so if that's the temperature that you want, you don't need to do Step 2 since that's for setting the temperature to something other than 350°F. That seems pretty common. Both our current oven and the oven at our last house was this way.

You must hail from south of the Mason-Dixon line (or points WSW thereof) :cool:

But seriously --Wishing you all a pleasant holiday Friday/weekend and hoping you enjoyed your day!

Me? I'm just hanging with me old Grandad -- To the non-initiated NO! I'm not talking incest! -- Merely inebriation! If ya don't credit me, please just ask George Thorogood

Best regards

Hi Bob. The 350F shows as default temperature when pressing 'bake', it does not start heating when pressing 'start' after.

'Bake ---> [ shows 350F ] ---> Start' [does not start.]
'Bake ---> [ shows 350F ] ---> change temperature with - or + any amount ---> Start' then starts heating. [ If 350F is desired, go back to 350F with - or + ] :rolleyes:

Okay. The “reason” for it is because the firmware coder was pretty stupid.
