I think a "throat mic" produces the worst speech I have ever heard. Nothing but vowels. Grunts and groans.
I think there is a language or two that speaks in grunts and groans.
Without my hearing aids, speech sounds like grunts and groans, something like an old telephone used to sound like. AM radio sounds a little better but still cuts most high audio frequencies, but sounds better with the pre-emphasis that are using lately.
