I have a TDS meter that's not working and I just want to open it to get to the circuit board but I'm not sure how and I don't want pull too hard and break it.

I tried pulling it with pliers but it didn't come out, I also tried pushing it from the probe side up but it didn't work too.

Does anyone know how to get it out?

In pic3 it looks as though there are a couple of projections just below the orange component, and a lower mounting plate which might just lift up over them to allow the unit to be withdrawn? Alternatively, do the projections squeeze together to release something?

That’s the pocket clip. I don’t see how but it could be acting as a retainer as well.
