Direction of induced emf and current in Generator

Here is the problem.
There are errors on the internet. People make mistakes. Even I made a mistake.
So you find two answers that do not agree. How is anyone supposed to know which answer is the correct one?
Instead of following two rules that give opposite answers, sometimes you need to work it through from first principles.

Go back to first principles.

Find the direction of the force on a current carrying wire.
The only rule we use is the right-hand corkscrew rule.

The wire carrying a positive charge is pointing into the plane of the screen. The positive current flow is into the screen.
The direction of the magnetic field produced by the current flowing into the plane of the screen is in the clockwise direction.

The net magnetic field is stronger above the wire and less strong below the wire. The force on the wire is in the downward direction.

This agrees with the Lorentz Force equation.

Yep. Its ok.
I guess the existence of this site is one of the errors/mistakes that people make.
