Choosing wether Using an opto to pass a pwm signal to analog on the other side or to use a DAC.

 

Schematic is wrong. There is no series resistor with the transistor side of the opto

Don't see the need for R2. What the does the analog out connect to?

 

The output connect to an analog controll input (0-12v) to controll motor
R1 to protect the input of the opto

 

What's the input impedance of the controller?

what does it mean by input impedance?

 

I meant R2 as was corrected in my post.
Basically the internal resistance of the controller. If it's too low it might load down the output of the opto.
Do you know the resistance of the potentiometer if that is used?
Can you post a link to the motor?

 

i rechecked and i can use DAC instead. thank you anyway
