I am new to embedded desighn so i want to make a development board for my practice which consist of some led's one 16*2 lcd and some switches and if any body have schematics or circuit diagram please post here.

 

You might like to try controller like the Philips 89LPC922. This is a derivative of the 8051 and can be easily programmed through the serial port or USB. You can get a reference of the circuit by looking at the reference board MCB900.
