I want to make a DC power supply with output 12V and 5A.
i have made power supplies before using big bulky transformer ,78xx regulator etc.but now i want to a transformer less power supply. I have observed and read that ballast can be used to increase the output power hence current. but i dont know how to use it. also I am very curious to know that how values of different components are calculated so any type of help will be very useful. Thanks!!!
