Hi.
A portable TV has two internal prismatic LiPo cells in series for 7.4V. Recharge inside the TV but pack has only two terminals and no controller.

Is that a 'normal' setup; or wrong cheap configuration ? How is each cell supposed to get individual charge to the proper level ? Is it acceptable for Li-Po's to be charged in series ?

Cells are two "903295" about 90mm x 32mm x 9.5mm and look like ----> http://www.ebay.com/itm/2500mAh-CP-...165117?hash=item3ac9c3f23d:g:iH0AAOSwRGlXqOYh

TV has been used mostly powered by AC adapter for years. Cells show 0V.

I think it's a bad design, but all batteries die in a few years.
Is it a bad design to get you to pay for more batteries in a few less years?
Or possibly pay for a repair because you can't easily get at them?
It depends on who you ask.;)
