DC SHUNT MOTOR EFFICIENCY

In a 5hp, 230 Volts, 1500rpm shunt motor, the resistance of the armature including brushes is 0.175 ohm and that of the shunt field is 610 ohms. The stray power losses when the motor delivers rated load at rated voltage is 305 Watts. The efficiency at rated load is nearest to?

ANSWER: 89%

What is the proper solution to this? How do I assume the value 5hp, is it the power output of the motor or the power input of the voltage source?
