I'm normally "good" at reading datasheets but cannot find the post thickness for this socket:

Datasheet:
https://media.digikey.com/pdf/Data Sheets/On Shore PDFs/EDXXXDT_Dwg.pdf

Part:
https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/on-shore-technology-inc/ED08DT/ED3044-5-ND/4147594

Why doesn't the drawing on the datasheet look like the 2x4 pin connector? I need to make a KiCAD footprint for this socket but I can't find the post thickness so I don't know how big to make the holes on my PCB footprint. I am planning on using it as socket for the ATTINY45 or ATTINY25 DIP 8-bit micro-controller. This socket has a pitch of .1 (2.54mm), which matches the ATTINY45.

1) What is the post thickness of that connector?
2) Distance between the pins?
3) When making a PCB footprint for a component, how big do you normally make the pad around the outside of the hole? Is there a general rule to follow here or just something that looks reasonable for soldering or reflowing?
Thanks in advance!!!
