Dangers of a high-impedance power supply for low-power circuits?

Thinking about transformerless power supplies, the thing that seems to make them so dangerous is the fact that a return path to ground made from any number of points in the circuit could possibly result in a fatal flow of current.
Consider now this simple circuit:
