Title18 U.S.C. § 925(a)(1) provides that the prohibition on the importation of firearms, firearm frames or receivers, firearm barrels and ammunition does not apply to the importation of firearms or ammunition sold or shipped to, or issued for the use of the United States or any department or agency thereof, or any State or any department, agency, or political subdivision thereof.
And what part of the South Korean army is the United States? Once the arms or parts are given/sold to another country they are considered to be that countries property, and not eligible to be re-imported to the US. Or that is the way it used to be. About 10 years or so ago a lot of 1919 machine gun parts were brought back to the US, from Israel, complete less the right side receiver plate, as this was the one part that "made" them a machine gun. they were allowed because they were "lent" to Israel not sold.

I don't want to argue about this. The facts are as I posted them.
