Hello every body ,
I have a battery charger 220v input 17 v outpout , so I need to reduce voltage to 12v DC after diodes , in order to obtain 12vDC charging my battery , so anyone can help me
Thanks

Is it 17 volt when connected to a battery?

Under load the output of a standard 12 volt automotive charger should be in the 11 to 14 volt range. Do you have it hooked up to something when reading voltage?

Information man. You should supply more info.

Hiii,
My output tranformer is around 17,5 Ac I need to reduce between11 and 13 V DC , so I put bride of 6 amper diodes they scale 16vDC , so it's not a way , do u have a. Best way ,
Thanks

Hi,
Can you tell what type and size of the battery you want to charge.

But i can say after you added a bridge rectifier and a filter capacitor ,now how much the voltage level.
From this we can suggest a regulator IC like 7812 Regulator ok

What was the charger originally designed to charge?

What is the voltage and current of the charger when connected to the 70 amp hour battery"
