Current Divider Law wrong answer

The answer is indeed 0.5 amps. Is it possible you mis-read the question that was asked? How do you know they think the answer is 2A?

If the total current (V/Rt), or (10v/10ohms) = 1 amp, there is no way to get 2 amps through each of the branches.

So you are correct with your answer :)
