creating a design for wimax physical layer simulation

Hello,I am trying to simulate Wimax physical layer using mathlab,but i am blocked because I don't know how to use mathlab.I have tried to search and found that I need to plot BER vs SNR curve.but I don't know reall how to get it.
plz help me
