I am interested in creating a forum for discussion.
1)Please suggest popular methods if i am willing to host the site on my machine.
2)Which is the best forum creating tool online,if it has to be hosted on 3rd party server.
3)I tried lefora, but it doesn't look as good as this forum. Developers may please advice how this forum was developed.

The best forum is the one that meets your specifications.

Make a list of what you want in column a. In column b through zz, list the forum name in row 1, and place a 1 next to the feature that the forum provides.

Repeat until you have every internet forum out there.

Sum each column. The best forum will be evident.
