Hello family,
We have used the Vishays proximity sensor TSSP58038 alongside the TSAL4400. Both of these parts will be housed inside TSSP-HA. We need to know if there is any type of material that we can cover TSSP-HA without compromising the sensitivity of the sensor. At the moment, we tried to cover it with black plastic but the sensor reads it as detecting an object and turns ON. Is there any type of material can you can recommend that we can cover the TSSP-HA and at the same time can not impact the sensor's sensitivity

hi K,
Depending upon the project purpose and layout, it is sometimes possible to use a collimator tube.
Do you have a sketch of the set-up you could post ?

It is object detection. Any material that does not reflect back. I wonder that material they have used so sensor wave is penetrated?
