I like watching Formula One cah racing but it is difficult to understand what the English people ah saying.
Luckily they do not talk about boats racing on wotah.

In Canada we do not pronounce the alphabet letter before the letter S as Ah, instead we say Are.

The experts say that most new Covid-19 cases in Canada are unvaccinated little kids 5 years old to 11 years old who are passing the virus around at school. The vaccinations for them are beginning now but half of the parents are waiting to see if there are any problems. I get my booster vaccination in 2 or 3 days. I already got my Flu shot.

VICTORY, N.Y. (AP) — A New York family, who all contracted COVID-19, has suffered the loss of a father and son to the virus within a few days of each other.

Rick Martin, 57, of Victory, died on Oct. 27 and his son, Jake Martin, 27, died on Nov. 2, The Times Union reported on Friday.

Rick Martin’s wife and Jake Martin’s mother, Julie Martin, said she does not know which one of her family members was infected first, but after three days, she and her son, Ben Martin, who were both vaccinated, began to feel better. But Rick and Jack, who were unvaccinated, were getting worse.

“It’s a cautionary tale that I don’t want to accentuate,” she said. “My husband and son were vaccine-hesitant. They didn’t have any physical health problems and they were not at particular risk.”

Research from the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that vaccines significantly reduce the chance of contracting COVID-19 and also lower the risk of life-threatening complications from breakthrough cases in vaccinated people.

Martin said that after she dropped her family members off at the hospital, she was barred from going in with them because she also had coronavirus and was in quarantine.

It was the last time she saw them before their conditions steadily worsened. Ultimately, her husband was put on a ventilator and died two days later. Her son suffered a ruptured lung and died six days after his father, the newspaper said.

Martin said that the tragedy of Rick and Jake has inspired others in her family to get vaccinated.

Tonight the new s reported that the USA has has such a high number of deaths caused by the Covid-19 virus that I can't remember, 739 thousand or 769 thousand? Vaccinations would have prevented those deaths.
Soon Russia will be number one to exceed USA.

The number I see is 769,000 deaths. However every death certificate is hot stamped COVID for the cause of death.
Vaccinations would have prevented those deaths.
How can you make such a claim. So what you are saying with vaccinations nobody would have died? When I say death certificates are "hot stamped" using NYC as an example, something like 3,700 deaths were reflecting COVID as cause of death and those bodies were never even tested. Amazing in a city with over 8 million the only thing people are dying from is COVID.

Looking at the numbers, Russia's latest wave reached its peak.

Want covid "gone"? Have half your province flooded with all major highways taken out. It is working for BC so far.

For more than a year, Russian-aligned troll factories overseeing thousands of social media accounts have been accused by Western countries and disinformation experts of spreading anti-vaccine messages in an aggressive campaign to spread conspiracy theories and cast doubt on Western coronavirus vaccines.

But the year-long offensive appears to have backfired.

Russian officials now worry that the anti-vaccine skepticism encouraged by the troll factories has spilled over and is partly responsible for the high level of vaccine hesitancy among Russians. Only 35% of the country’s population is fully vaccinated, despite the wide availability of the country’s home-grown Sputnik vaccine. Despite surging cases the uptake remains sluggish.

A large number of the deaths are older with preexisting conditions pre-vaccine. COVID 'killed' them but any respiratory illness likely would have killed them.
Agree. Just like when a bullet killed my grandma with pre-existing conditions. The bullet "killed" her but any high energy impact would likely have killed her.

Not exactly. Any low energy impact would likely have killed her as a high energy impact would kill the young and healthy at about the same rate.

Vaccine skepticism in Russia has nothing to do with troll farms. It just is. Due to many other pre-existing factors.

Elderly die of flu associated bacterial (often) pneumonia in disproportionate rates every year. Lockdowns on young and healthy populations have never been instituted to prevent that.

Regarding schools - perhaps schools should be disbanded and children never allowed to congregate ever again? Schools are a breeding ground for infections and a perfect vector? And once Metaverse is operational, new generations can begin to fullfill their destiny of living virtual lives in wonderful worlds free of troubles...

What happened to some of our tax money for COVID Relief.
https://www.justice.gov/usao-cdca/p...nced-years-prison-fraudulently-obtaining-tens
LOS ANGELES – Three members of a San Fernando Valley family have been sentenced – two of them in absentia after they fled justice following their convictions at trial – to years in federal prison for scheming to fraudulently obtain more than $20 million in Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) COVID-19 relief funds.

On Monday, United States District Judge Stephen V. Wilson handed down prison sentences to the Encino residents:

  • Richard Ayvazyan, 43, who was ordered to serve 17 years;
  • Marietta Terabelian, 37, Richard Ayvazyan’s wife, who was sentenced to six years; and
  • Artur Ayvazyan, 41, Richard Ayvazyan’s brother, who was ordered to serve five years in federal prison.
The FBI is offering a reward of up to $20,000 for information leading to the arrest of Richard Ayvazyan and Terabelian, who allegedly cut their tracking bracelets on August 29 and went on the run while awaiting sentencing in this case. Judge Wilson sentenced them in absentia, and they remain fugitives from justice.
They skipped out of town months ago.

...
It's an old problem that predates the current pandemic, so yes, it's a pre-existing factor.

Abstract
Objectives. To understand how Twitter bots and trolls (“bots”) promote online health content.
Methods. We compared bots’ to average users’ rates of vaccine-relevant messages, which we collected online from July 2014 through September 2017. We estimated the likelihood that users were bots, comparing proportions of polarized and antivaccine tweets across user types. We conducted a content analysis of a Twitter hashtag associated with Russian troll activity.
Results. Compared with average users, Russian trolls (χ2(1) = 102.0; P < .001), sophisticated bots (χ2(1) = 28.6; P < .001), and “content polluters” (χ2(1) = 7.0; P < .001) tweeted about vaccination at higher rates. Whereas content polluters posted more antivaccine content (χ2(1) = 11.18; P < .001), Russian trolls amplified both sides. Unidentifiable accounts were more polarized (χ2(1) = 12.1; P < .001) and antivaccine (χ2(1) = 35.9; P < .001). Analysis of the Russian troll hashtag showed that its messages were more political and divisive.
Conclusions. Whereas bots that spread malware and unsolicited content disseminated antivaccine messages, Russian trolls promoted discord. Accounts masquerading as legitimate users create false equivalency, eroding public consensus on vaccination.
Public Health Implications. Directly confronting vaccine skeptics enables bots to legitimize the vaccine debate. More research is needed to determine how best to combat bot-driven content.

Well just look at Australia right now. Just days ago TENS OF THOUSANDS marched through the streets of Sidney. And Aussies are well known for their relatively cooperative and compliant nature!

As policy makers across the globe continue to largely ignore the concerns of the people these sorts of conflicts have obviously become more prevalent. The people really just want to be heard and respected but these politicians keep adopting more and more restrictive measures even as they brashly brush aside any and all criticism regarding their seemingly arbitrary decisions.

The vaccine lobby obviously wants to promote their products. No one can really blame them for that but there does however need to be SOME limit the level of influence on the legislative branches.

Here in the US many states have had enough of it already. These policies have ultimately only served to hurt businesses not to mention the morale of the people. Which is why so many politicians have finally started to stand up to it. And thank goodness for that!
