You seem to have forgotten that most of the work developing the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines was done and waiting. It was developed for the SARS virus and worked for the covid(SARS also). So Not sure how "experimental" it really is.

Before Coronavirus, there were no MRNA vaccines to speak of. Hence the designation "experimental".

And I understand about "prerogatives". I don't understand how an election can completely change a group of peoples outlook of a vaccines effectiveness or viability. When that happens prerogatives go right out the window for me.

Nothing has changed. Most Republicans (including Trump) have taken a pro-choice position WRT vaccines. If you want it, get it. If not, don't. Simple as that.

As for myself, I have personally encouraged those leaning towards but not quite sure to get the vaccine WHICH THEY HAVE. See how that works? Giving people clear and unbiased information helps a lot. So many people forget that nowadays. Every one of us has the right to decide for ourselves what is the most appropriate thing to do depending on our own circumstances and convictions.

I have been vaccinated against Measles, Polio and Civid-19 at no cost to me since the Canadian government paid for it.
Do American citizens pay themselves which causes their hesitancy?

Creating these vaccines in the time that they did was no small effort. Maybe "the boss" should adjust his expectations.
I never said creating the vaccines was a small effort. My question was when does a work in progress become a finished product. Wife and I both were vaccinated with no ill or side effects at all. Now it seems maybe another booster shot may be required so just when is enough? With regard to my comment concerning my boss there were expectations concerning my work and while some experimentation was expected and permissible a work in progress over and over again was not acceptable. Eventually satisfactory results are expected and rightly so. All of this comes with a cost and it's not cheap. Vaccinations are not free.

Point being what? The Canadian government never paid for anything, the Canadian people who work to support the government paid for all of your medical services. Much like the US government is supported in the same way. Nothing is free so get a clue. Yes, isn't socialized medicine great but not free. No US Americans just like Canadians pay the tab. There is no free. Maybe free to you but the money comes from somewhere.

Federal Income Taxes
In Canada, the range is 15% to 33%. In the U.S., the lowest tax bracket for the tax year ending 2019 is 10% for an individual earning $9,700 and jumps to 22% for those earning $39,476. The corresponding bottom Canadian bracket stays at 15% until $47,630.

I have had booster shots of vaccines when I was a kid.
My dog gets a rabies booster vaccine every 2 or 3 years because one shot runs out.

The Pfizer Covid-19 first dose caused me and a few other people to have a continuous faint Tinnitus hiss sound in our hearing. I get the same sound but only temporarily when I do extreme exerting workouts. I guess my body is exerting itself making antibodies against the virus.
The vaccine seems to have increased the Libido for my wife and I.

No, it's free. But then again so are we. (Another one of those "silly" AMERICAN traditions I suppose.) As for you guys...maybe not so much. Strict conformity is something of a French tradition. N'est pas?

The vaccines work extremely well. Expecting them to remain effective as the virus mutates is unrealistic. As you probably know the flue vaccine is tweaked each year.

I just hope they get the tweaking and peaking done. The more common annual flu vaccine is a crap shoot. They try to guess which strain of flu will be dominant and aim at that. Sometimes they guess right and other times not so great. I always get poked with that too and really never any side effects to speak of. With all of this it is apparent some people have reactions and some not so much. With COVID it seems like most flu strains in that some are affected much worse than others, especially those with pre existing conditions more common in the elderly. Opinions as to the best corrective action seem to change day to day much like mutations of the virus. Then we also have "experts" who can't seem to agree.

CNN says that hundreds of thousands of American lives would have been saved if they were vaccinated with a Covid-19 vaccine shot.
False. Numbers have been dropping steadily across the board and in fact "Red States", where vaccination levels are lowest, have been dropping FASTER than states with higher vaccination rates.

Despite years of research, it was a rushed vaccine. There were specific reasons why this technology was not being utilized. I guess we will find out in due time.

I can see it for targeted cancer therapy. For vaccines, not so much. Which makes me wonder what role money has to play in all of this?

If mRNA is so great and customizable, why has it not taken off in cancer treatment? Why this technology that only 5 years ago was still considered in its infancy is now being advertised as "proven and safe"?

This is a good representation of what I was talking about in my post #5473. Alternative facts that weren't true then and even less so now! https://www.healthline.com/health-news/here-are-the-states-where-covid-19-is-increasing-2 If you don't accept that one since it doesn't come from and approved propaganda site, take your pick from any of the other sites out there in the real world. https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=are+covid+cases+dropping+in+red+states

The parts of Canada that have a low number of Covid-19 cases and deaths are the areas that have no tourists that spread the virus around. Does anybody visit the RED states? Nobody does because things are awful there.

You would know that how? I thought Canada closed their borders so how are tourist getting in? Red States and Blue States? You really haven't a clue. Guessing you place stock in CNN too?

Oh please! Trudeau himself doesn't even follow his own BROKEN Covid guidelines. Those must be places he just doesn't visit very often.
