We need both. There is much more money to make selling government-promoted/mandated vaccines than vitamin-D.
According to Dr. Anthony Fauci, most “so-called immune boosting supplements” actually do “nothing.” However, there are two vitamins Fauci does recommend to help keep your immune system healthy.
“If you are deficient in vitamin D, that does have an impact on your susceptibility to infection. So I would not mind recommending, and I do it myself taking vitamin D supplements,” Fauci, 79, said during an Instagram Live on Thursday, when actress Jennifer Garner asked Fauci about immune-boosting supplements.
We know that some of these discussions about changing the dosing schedule or dose are based on a belief that changing the dose or dosing schedule can help get more vaccine to the public faster. However, making such changes that are not supported by adequate scientific evidence may ultimately be counterproductive to public health.
We have committed time and time again to make decisions based on data and science. Until vaccine manufacturers have data and science supporting a change, we continue to strongly recommend that health care providers follow the FDA-authorized dosing schedule for each COVID-19 vaccine.
Lack of sun exposure may well be a key factor for these viruses tending to outbreak in winter months. One might consider supplementing vitamin D. (2/17/2020)
So I, lowly code monkey, beat the Great and Powerful Fauci by nearly a year in recommending vitamin D. And some here bemoan questioning and second guessing the so-called experts? Give me a break.Recently Dr. Fauci said:So I would not mind recommending, and I do it myself taking vitamin D supplements
There are many deeply invested in the desire that Covid be a major catastrophe -- one from which only centralized authoritative power can save us.And some here bemoan questioning and second guessing the so-called experts? Give me a break.
Some people place their trust in government which is cool with me if they trust government. Looking to a higher authority there is always God for those who believe but they do say the lord helps those who help themselves. Personally given the performance of government I place my trust in the works of Sam Colt or John Browning and will not rule out a few others. There are many deeply invested in the desire that Covid be a major catastrophe -- one from which only centralized authoritative power can save us.

My Glock feels the same way. Some people place their trust in government which is cool with me if they trust government. Looking to a higher authority there is always God for those who believe but they do say the lord helps those who help themselves. Personally given the performance of government I place my trust in the works of Sam Colt or John Browning and will not rule out a few others.
What COVID seems to have done is given people something to blame things on. Can't get my mail? COVID. Everything and anything wrong seems to go back to COVID. God gives us Wisdom and I suggest some people apply that.
No rather than centralized authoritative power I will place my trust where it should be placed.

Thank You and Have a Nice Day.

Maybe. But if you put the pieces together that most Americans (and even most people) are deficient in vitamin D and that a good level of vitamin D reduces mortality rates 10-fold, I conclude that the pandemic could have been 10-fold less a crisis if only we had proactively corrected the previously known vitamin D deficiency. (Magnesium is another easy, cheap fix.) That would have made it barely a blip in the news and nobody would have spent the requisite fortune developing a vaccine. We need both.

Yes, I looked into this. Lower latitudes do tend to have less trouble but it’s confounded by the fact that people all over spend more time indoors than out. If you live in Texas and it’s sunny summer outside, you’re inside with the A/C cranked. Only a direct measurement of serum vitamin D is predictive.Somewhat strange as to the Vitamin D issue is that at this time Arizona is the hardest-hit state. I always correlated Arizona with desert sunshine.
1) According to covid.cdc.gov, ND is the hardest hit. (172 deaths per 100k.)Somewhat strange as to the Vitamin D issue is that at this time Arizona is the hardest-hit state.
Which study are you referring to?... in the meta-data study ...
The wrong way to use a handgun during Covid.
Flash it or brandish it matters not. He and his CCW permit are toast. You simply do not do stuff like that. As to the wearing of a mask? I can see where wearing a mask may cause some discomfort while working out but that should be a matter of something for the club to deal with, lodge a complaint and leave. I doubt the laws concerning CCW in Florida say it's OK to brandish a gun because you are angry. This entire COVID thing has people doing some incredibly stupid stuff but apparently this guy was not the brightest bulb on anyone's Christmas Tree.Florhaug dismissed any concerns about endangering anyone, saying he only "flashed the gun."
Gottlieb cited experimental evidence from Bloom Lab, and explained 501.V2 does appear to partially escape prior immunity. It means that some of the antibodies people produce when they get infected with Covid, as well as the antibody drugs, may not be quite as effective.
“The new variant has mutated a part of the spike protein that our antibodies bind to, to try to clear the virus itself, so this is concerning,” Gottlieb said. “Now, the vaccine can become a backstop against these variants really getting more of a foothold here in the United States, but we need to quicken the pace of vaccination.”
