In my town, most businesses are closed. All events canceled everywhere. There are unconfirmed rumors that if this goes on for long even heavy industry might be hit. There are layoffs elsewhere. The big LNG project has gone into hybernation for now and I wonder if they will take this opportunity to never restart it.

Their announcement is a bit late. This was obvious a week ago. One would hope for real estate correction as well.

The world needs to isolate China in the tightest possible manner for at least a generation, not reward them for causing global destruction. This thing will burn out eventually, the world will recover and Russia will still be Just Russia.

What you're proposing sounds harsh... but I agree somewhat... China needs a complete cultural overhaul, both hygiene-wise and communications-wise, if it wants its commercial partnership with other countries to keep flourishing.

If this was the first time a virus originating from China caused by outdated, dangerous cultural practices and a willing to hide the deadly truth government hit the world it would be different but this is a recurring nightmare of greater and greater destruction. They have already burned three strikes and they should be OUT.

China is just fine with what it's doing. It's how they think, It's normal to them. Just like those who would harm you because you have a different religion. Cults do this, hate groups...Hate. A World wide panic over a thing that hasn't really killed that many people. But yet we still act like animals!

Yup... it's a vicious cycle alright ... I can definitely accept things that I can't change. But this isn't about me or anyone else but the Chinese government. If they won't change, then the forces of nature will make them change.
