Conversion gain of Gilbert Cell (up converter)

hi

while working on a double balanced gilbert cell for QPSK modulation (upconverter); when i connect a 50 ohm port at output (along with matching network), the conversion gain reduces drastically. Can any one guide the correct way to check the conversion gain.
