some conversations happen to be rather long (many pages). as the title suggests, the problem is that those posts are not numbered. in other words there is no way to store link to individual posts. this makes it hard to keep track of things. would it be possible to make the chat threads look more like forum threads, while keeping them private?

In theory, yes. In practice, probably not. The necessary modifications would be at the level of the developers/maintainers of the forum software. If it is open-source (which, if it is still XenForo, it isn't), then someone from EETech with the necessary skills could do it, but I don't know that such a person exists (or, if they do, that they have the time or inclination to delve into the code base).

You might send a suggestion to XenForo. I don't know how responsive they are to feature requests.

Indeed . That was unexpected.

AI answer:
"To copy a word with a link on a smartphone and paste it into a text message, you'll first need to copy the link. Then, paste the link into your text message. If the link is embedded in text, you'll need to select the text containing the link, copy it, and then paste it. Finally, you may need to adjust the pasted text to remove any unnecessary surrounding text, and then send the message."

BTW, "copied word" is date.
