I want to clarify that I don't have an extensive knowledge of electronics and computer science, and I need an expert opinion to understand if what I want to do is feasible. I would like to purchase a scale capable of communicating with a computer and read the weight directly from the PC every time a Python code is executed. Do you believe this is possible? I am looking for a scale with a maximum capacity of 15-20 kg and an accuracy of 5-10 grams. I would appreciate some suggestions.

 

A quick Google search reveals many off-the-shelf scales with serial or USB ports installed.

 

Yes, i found similar information but I don't understand if i can simply connect the scale to my PC using a cable? Is there any additional software required for this setup? Also, should I be concerned about potential protocol compatibility issues, or can the Pyserial library handle them automatically? Thank you for your assistance.
I don't think the connection will be so easy so i'm asking if someone has experience on it.
