Dear all

Simple task, but I struggle to understand the information given by the manufacturer of the bat detector (I'm not a native English-speaker).

The manufacturer says:
"An external power supply or battery of 7-10 V DC can be connected to the DC jack.
The center pin of the DC jack is the positive pole of the power supply.
External DC supply: 7-10 V, 250 mA (average), 700 mA (peak).
".

Does "The center pin of the DC jack is the positive pole of the power supply" mean that
1. the male jack in my device has a positive centre pin, and that
2. I should therefore connect my external power supply to a (female) power plug so that its centre is the positive?

Thank you for any clarification on this!
