Hi!

I'm wanting to connecting a 12V light that is used as a side marker for trucks to a A23 12V Energizer Battery. I just want to know if I need a resistor incase the battery sends to much power to the light and how I can go about hooking this up. I'm hoping I can just attach the wire to the battery. The attachment needs to be quick and something I can go out and buy if needed in a matter of 2 days!

Thanks!

The bulb only takes the current it needs, just like the bulbs that operate from your truck battery.
It doesn't matter how much current the battery can supply as long as it's sufficient to power the bulb.

But an A23 battery is very small with a capacity of only 55mAh, so it's unlikely to last very long, even if the light is an LED type.
For example, with a typical small LED bulb operating at 20mA, the battery would last less than 3 hours.

Any recommendations on batteries to use? I'm using these lights for project that I'm filming so 3 hours would be fine but if I can get a couple more hours that would be great!

i doubt it will light up even.

you can use a lithium power bank + voltage booster, theres large 150W kinds and smaller mt3608, these are common and around since a few years

obviously we need to know if the lamp is LED or incandescent but the A23 are remote control batteries, this wont work for a lamp

They are LED. Here is a link to the lights : http://amzn.to/2CuBzlK

They're 1W modules, so you'd be lucky to get half an hour run time from an A23 battery (55mAh nominal capacity).
