Thank you for such an interesting forum.

I am struggling to identify this component in a simple LED flasher circuit. On the circuit is an LED - N channel MOSFET and 6.8 Ohm resistor and our mysterious Component.

Circuit use.
turn it on, LED stead on
Turn off
Turn on LED Pulses
Turn off
Turn on steady on (repeat)

Is there a way to determine type? Or just get a regular 8 Pin MCU?

 

It appears all the functionality is in software, so if you want to replicate it, pretty much any MCU will do.
