GetDeviceInfo has a really good point there.

By tapping you mean touching for a short period of time right ?. In that case the heater might be operating directly from the mains. So tapping on it even for a short period of time could prove fatal if directly connected to the mains.

that is tapping so that you can use eg. warming up water. And possibly no circuit breaker had been fixed.
