Code tags work as they are currently designed to work. When AAC had its most recent revision, the neat formatting by the earlier code tags was eliminated. Today they are not much different that simply using plain tags, e.g., [plain] <insert code>[/plain].

Code tags do number the lines, which is helpful. If you want nice formatting, you need to do that yourself with spaces. I use MPLab 8.92, which automatically formats with spaces when saved as a .asm file.
