A Sinusoidal input voltage vin of frequency ω is fed to the circuit shown in figure.http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1184/1381755032_d411a48d7d_o.jpg

(where C1 is much greater than C2) . If Vm is the peak value of input voltage,Find output voltage (Vout)
options are(a) 2Vm (b) 2V0sinωt (c)√2Vm (d)(Vm/2)sinωt.

My interpretation-During the first half cycle the first diode is conducting and the capacitor C1 get charged to peak input voltage Vm. During the next half cycle the capacitor discharges and the observed outputvoltage is Vm. but it is not there in the options .pls help.

Yes, and then since C1 can't discharge, the peak voltage across it is added to Vin, thus this cct. is a voltage doubler.
