What are the tools that some people on this forum use? I often see schamtics and simulated scope images etc and wondered what are the typical tools used these days?

I'm sure there are costly specialized high end tools, but what do people use for personal/hobby use? I did look at some tool a decade ago but suspect things have moved on..

Most here (as I do) use the free LTspice from Analog Devices.
It's a good analog Spice simulator with many analysis options.
With it, you can readily look at (and plot) all the currents and voltages anywhere in the circuit.
It has a somewhat step learning curve, but there are good tutorials and many included example circuits to help with that.
You can also ask questions here and you will likely get answers.

OK sounds good. I did just install it and then got a message about possible updates and then this:

I'll play around, see how it goes...

Thx
