Is it possible to make christmas lights using Flip flop and 555 timer? If it is, what circuit can I use? All answers are highly appreciated.

You need to define and describe what you mean by "christmas lights".

What are you using for lights?
How many lights?
How should the lights behave?

There are no particular behavior for the lights. But it's better if we can control how fast it flickers. The light that we will be using are LED. The minimum requirement is 8 LED lights.

Still not clear what you want to do.

Are the LED or LEDs flickering at random or oscillating at a constant frequency?
Will all LEDs flicker at the same time in unison (i.e. they all flicker in exactly the same way)?
Or will each LED flicker at random rates independent of all others?

It's better if I can do all of that in a circuit, maybe with the help of switch? I can make them flicker at the same time and randomly.

I didn't mean to put ideas in your head and give you options.
It would be better to stick to one program and keep it simple.
The intent was to demonstrate how vague were your requirements and get you to clarify and communicate properly what it is that you want.
