charging 9v nimh with max713 and a solar panel

Hey, I want to charge EBL 9v nimh batteries, rated at 280mah, with a max713 powered by a solar panel. What voltage and current ratings should I look for in a solar panel? The datasheet doesn't specify which thermistors I should use, just that T1 and T2 should be the same. The thermistors aren't in the typical operating circuit. Do I just add them in to the pins it shows in the temperature comparator schematics? Also, what mosfet should I use for figure 16?
