I would still like to have an option marked "subscribed threads" or similar.

It was always the first thing I checked when logging on.

Now the only way to check for activity on such threads appears to be to remember where and what they were and go ove those sections of AAC

Ouch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Secondly when I end up on the desired thread why can I not show the last post made by someone?

Again this is the desired entry point.

Anything less is retrograde.

I believe the "Watched Threads" link at the top (http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com/watched/threads) is what you are looking for.

Was this feature available in the previous software? I do not remember it beign there, nor ever any mention of anyone using it.

Can you describe the feature in a bit more detail and the reason you would need it?

Watched threads.

Thank you for telling me that jrap and Max.

The previous version was more user friendly because it was simpler.
I simply hovered over my user name, clicked on subscribed threads in the dropdown box and Voila it was all there.

Now I have to click on watched threads and read the notice that there are only 20 shown and then click somewhere else to get at the rest.

How is this a gain of function please?

At least I can find them to check now.

Yes it was always there, perhaps I did not describe it very well, and several have asked for its return in this thread.

Say there are 100 posts in a thread.

I could set preferences to enter all threads at post 1 and work forwards, or post 100 and work backwards.

This latter (working backwards) is a great advantage when there are several pages of posts to get through to find the latest post in a thread.

/me actually opens each thread in a new tab, thread goes directly to first unread post.

hate using the back arrow key :)
