Hi. A customer in a rural area is losing reliability of the cellular connection, lives in a valley blocked by a ridge of his own land. Something is degrading or vegetation is causing signal loss.

What hardware do you know it would work to boost the signal ? The cell tower is about 2 miles from the blocking ridge and his house is about half a mile far downhill. A passive mirror repeater is also in consideration.

Call the cell provider to see if they can help. They might even do the work free of cost to the customer due to rural service mandates.

 

I suggest a good antenna on a tower. A friend has a similar situation. A receive amplifier at the top to cover the down-lead losses.
