CC source to drive CC/CV charger

Basically, I have the opportunity to create a power conversion circuit which will translate the output of a constant current charger, aka NiCAD charger, into a well behaved CC/CV charger, aka LiFEPO4 charger. Recommendations on a best circuit topology and components to use? Current source is on order of 10A, probably shuts off around 13V and I am targeting a CC/CV output that will be at least 5A current / ~14.4V.

What to do mean by "... Current source is on order of 10A ..."
If it is a CC Source, then it is 10 amps or it is not.
Reply with exact details.

I would not use a 10 Amp Constant Current Source as the core of a LiFePO4 charger
You will need to shed the excess Watts ...
