I picked up this CAT CBC25E charger at an auction this summer. It doesn't seem to sense the battery voltage, so will continually drop into slow charging mode, thinking that the battery is fully charged, even when it's not. I tore the charger open today and had a look at the board
I can see a spot of oxidation by the large capacitor, which suggests to me that it may need replacement, but thought I'd send pics of the board to the forum for any insight before ordering parts.
I will say that this charger has trickle charged some batteries I have here, so it is charging on the low power mode with certainty.
Can someone give me some advice on tests I can perform with my multimeter, or would an oscilloscope be required to identify the fault?
