Hi, I have an aaxa p6 pico projector. It has a power supply that takes 120v and outputs 19v 2000ma dc.
Instead of using an inverter to power it from my car, can i use a laptop charger with the same output?

This one looks like it will work, but I wanted to ask in case there is a reason this might break my projector.
I might have to cut and solder the plug, but I don't see that bring a problem.

 

As long as the voltage is the same it will work, it's rated at 2A, so it should be ok.

 

The only thing I'd worry about is if the projector ever actually needed 2A and, if it did, whether the inverter you're thinking about could actually provide it.

The projector will only take what it needs. You just need to be certain that whatever you use can provide 2A.
