Hey everyone,

I am trying to replace the caps on a video card, and really need some help trying to figure out what values I need to get.

The metallic caps in question look exactly like these pictured here: http://www.capacitorlab.com/capacitor-types-polymer/smtpolymer.jpg Except mine dont have that plastic base, they just have legs that go through the board. They have this on top:

FP
06Pd
1 2 2
2.5

Then the other row of them read this:

FP
05Ad
2 7 1
16

Also, what are those black squares in that picture? I have some of those on my card that look similar, but all of mine have "R56" on them. Should those be replaced as well.

Thanks everyone for all your help

Please take a picture of YOUR video card and post it here.

What's the cap manufacturer? Panasonic?

The black squares "look" like inductors but the print indicates resistors. On the PCB there will be either an R... or L... for that component.
R for resistor
L for inductor

The metallic capacitors are almost certainly aluminum electrolytic capacitors.
Can only guess about the markings, but with a picture, somebody might be able to identify the manufacturer's logo and then decode the markings.
