Hi!

According to the datasheet the TLC072 Op-Amp IC is designed for a single power supply system. Does that mean I really cannot use it in double power supply (+/-) configuration?

The datasheet states VDD should be between +/-2.25V and +/-8.0V when using a slit supply so I guess it's OK.

 

You can use it with a split supply, like any other opamp it doesn´t know the difference. What you need to do is to make sure that your inputs are within 0.5V to Vdd-0.8V (relative to pin GND), and know that the output will only swing from 0.25V to Vdd minus roughly 0.8V.
