Can i isolate converted power lines from the same power supply, 5v and 12v.

I want to use the 12v and 5v power lines that I have obtained using lipo batteries by isolating them from each other.
The purpose of wanting to do this is to perform a sensitive adc operation on the 5V side. On the 12v side, I plan to drive a fan and I think it will expose the 5V line to noise.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Are you using the 5V as the reference as well as power? If so, using a precision reference instead might solve your problem without isolating them.

If you want to control the fan using the controller that is running the ADC, use an opto-isolator between the controller output and the fan. That way, the supplies can be completely independent.

If your ADC is that sensitive to power supply noise,
don't power it off a DC:DC .

Are you going to have a common earth on the power supplies ?
if not, is the adc powered off the same as what drives it , or is it ac coupled ?

what is the adc ?
