The attached photo highlights two components that I'm having trouble identifying. The one on the right appears to be a Microchip Technologies product, but I cannot find any info, datasheets, etc. based on the numbers printed on it. Can anyone help shed some light on what these are (and maybe where I can find datasheets)?

This is from my car's remote key fob (circa 2004), if it helps.

The metal can is a ceramic resonator, 2 Mhz I believe.

The IC is a likely a Microchip MCU, custom imprinted for obscurity reasons. It needs firmware. You will not find a suitable replacement unless you can roll your own code.

 

The thing in metal case is probably a resonator.
Black IC probably a MCU.
