Can a led light-bulb IR controller be used with a led strip?

Hi guys,

I have a light bulb with an IR controller (as seen in the attached pictures) that is used with a separate remote. I am curious to know if I could use it with a led strip instead of the solo led and should I expect any issues to occur if it should work? Please tell me if there's any other information needed.
