Hi im trying to find the voltage for VR1 and VR2 for this circuit but the fact that it is in parallel is throwing me off

D1 is silicon with .7 V

My try for the solution:

VR1 = 10 volts
And VR2= VR1 - .7V

VR2 = 9.3 V

Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

It's quite simple. Since the diode voltage drop is 0.7V and the diode is in parallel with R2 the what does the voltage across R2 have to be? (Big hint: All devices in parallel have the same voltage across them).

The voltage across R1 is then 10V minus the voltage across R2.
