Hey Guys

Newbie here

i picked up a 7.5kw induction motor from a online classifieds in hope of turning it into a 3 phase generator for welding etc.. i was originally going to power this motor with a smaller electric 240volt motor using a V drive belt

now someone has mentioned to me if i run this motor in delta 3 phase it will produce 600-700 volts when i really only need to produce 415v 3 phase

can u guys with electricial knowledge look over this and tell me what the go is?

I'm in Australia our normal voltage is AC240v or for commercial it is 3 phase 415v

Thanks Albert

I tried today to spin up the induction motor but only got 3volts and 3.8volts i also used 12 volts to energize the induction motor
