I’ve seen a Mosquito Magnet clear out a large area. Battery and propane powered, so mains is not required for operation. However, it does need a method of recharging its battery. Of course. Not sure if it works on the mysterious small bugs.

Actually, a laser with a mechanical scanner could do a whole lot of damage to a cloud of the bugs in a fairly short time. BUT a laser that powerful is a quite dangerous device, because if it will zap a bug in less than a second ti will likewise blind a person almost instantly. A real-life version of a light saber.
Yes ...it will have to have sophisticated visual recognition software , able to discern any face shaped objects in the line of fire .... We can create this now , with the technology we have , but the price would be to high at present.

That's certainly a professional device , and works well according to reviews on Youtube battery lasts "a season" before recharge ... $750 !! Perhaps I'll wait for a Chines copy to be manufactured.
