I've been reading some articles but could only find very technical and advanced examples!

Tried these:
http://ethesis.nitrkl.ac.in/2543/1/PFC_using_Buck_Converter_in_Single_Phase_AC-DC_Circuits.pdf
http://www.iosrjournals.org/iosr-jeee/Papers/Conf.17017/Volume-2/5. 35-43.pdf?id=7590

and many other results are for AC-DC and other types which I do not have interest. Even at least one of the above links are about AC-DC.

I've come across many links but none tells me what I need.

I'm also searching Ned Mohan book, but no luck either.

DC does not have a power factor, only AC does, so your request makes no sense.
Indeed... That's why I was not finding anything in Google! Probably my teacher typo'ed DC-DC instead of AC-DC.

Ok, so how a Buck Converter can help improving the Power Factor?
