Yeah. Just ask the citizens of Ferguson, Baltimore, Cleveland, Chicago, Detroit, New York, LA and countless others how much help they got, :)

There actually is a large body of evidence suggesting that the conservatives are very passionate about giving their money to charity. On the other hand, the liberals are far more passionate about giving other people's money to charity.
Or maybe it is black people that give more?

Seems like there was a problem long before Obama care.
Yes. It's called health insurance that pays for *everything*.

Buying health insurance today is like buying auto insurance that *also* pays for routine maintenance, gas, and oil changes.

if you look at the tax revenue to the government, the scale that Joey linked to would be reversed.

As far as healthcare goes, the prices have increased over the years as this society has become more litigious. The doctors order more tests to give you the best guess then can on your health problem. Tests costs money. Medicare doesn't pay full price, neither does insurance companies. They all want a discount, the healthcare employees want to make decent money, as do the administrators. All of those costs, trickle down to the payer.

I hope everyone realizes they stopped the "extra tax" on golden health plans. Remember, they were to pay a higher tax for that plan. It wasn't the conservatives fighting to extend the effective date of that tax.

The rich pay more in taxes than the lower scales. I know, Jimmy Buffet thinks he deserves to pay more, however, no one stopped him from writing a check on what he thought was fair, except himself.

I know you'll disagree by bringing up the percentage paid.

You can't federalize everything.

The biggest jump in government spending coincided with the American Publication of Democracy in America. Just prior to that publication, the public debt was under 34 thousand. Yes, we found out how to get the government to give us money.

Probably ... it was Warren Buffet, not Jimmy. :)

I love it when people think they don't spend enough in taxes. I tell them if they really feel that way, write a check to the U.S. Treasury. It will be deposited into general funds and 535 members of the legislative branch will gladly spend it for you.

Is there a point in there somewhere?

There actually is a large body of evidence suggesting that the conservatives are very passionate about giving their money to charity. On the other hand, the liberals are far more passionate about giving other people's money to charity.
No, not to charity. Non-secular contributions to charity are made in greater numbers by liberals. Liberals are passionate about helping, and using available resources.

I have a friend who was an absolute supporter of ObamaCare, until she saw her premium skyrocketed -> apparently she believed that providing universal care is the responsibility of the government, not each of us.
Sixteen million people now receiving coverage would disagree. Premiums were rising faster before the law was implemented.

That assumes that liberals don't have any skin in the game. An utterly false ass-u-me-tion.
Quite to the contrary, I think the liberals have a lot of skin in the game: they ***passionately*** talk about giving other people's money to the liberal charitable causes.

So your assumption that the conservatives assume that liberals don't have any skin in the game is an utterly false ass-u-me-tion.

I never said conservatives make any assumptions. Nice strawman, however. Your statements make no sense unless the aforementioned, utterly false assumption is made. But if you want to argue with and contradict yourself, go right ahead.

To put it simply, I never said that liberals don't have ***any*** skin in the game.

I recognize your skin in your game, whatever game it is.

I am simply asking that you don't put ***my*** skin in ***your*** game.

Is that easier to understand?
