Hi all.
I'm an absolute beginner when it comes to this stuff but pretty confident in repairing.

I bought a cheap bosch charger in the title knowing it may or may not work. Low and behold it doesn't.

I've managed to take it apart and look at the board. I can't see any damaged parts or burnt parts.

I have however got a thermal camera.

This shows a resistor heating up to near boiling point. Not sure if it's supposed to do this.

Another piece heats up also but not sure what it is.

I have uploaded pics of the thermal and pics of the heating up resistor and other part.

Any help I appreciated.

 

It's a NTC thermistor, for preventing inrush on a switchmode psu, if it's getting mad hot then sounds like the Mosfet or bridge rectifier is blown.

What is the mosfet or bridge rectifier and how do I test it?

 

I would advise you against trying to fix this as your comments indicate a lack of knowledge needed to safely work on it.
Electronics is a fun and very worthwhile field to get into but start with something safer and easier.
This charger will have lethal voltages present and is quite dangerous for novices to try to work on.
Please do not take this as a negative comment, just a warning.
And do look at non mains operated things to start with.

What is the mosfet or bridge rectifier and how do I test it?

These are switchmode type power supplies, they use Live mains power and drop the voltage down without any isolation , so are Very Dangerous to work with.
I strongly advise you put it in the bin or give it to someone who knows what they are doing.
